Kostas Markovitis has been active for 28 years in the cultivation and marketing of apricots and other stone fruits, always exploring new varieties and new cultivation methods.
20 years ago he was the first in Greece to start cultivation in hyperdense monoclonal linear shapes, 20 years ago he was the first to introduce sweet, red peaches and nectarines to Greek orchards, 22 years ago he introduced more than 25 new varieties of cherries, 15 years ago he introduced the first plum peaches, and 15 years ago he introduced the innovative hybrids plum cot and aprium for the first time in Greece.
Kostas Markovitis maintains cooperation with institutes and nurseries in Spain, France, Italy, Israel, etc., he systematically maintains plots for experimental cultivation and equips his plots with modern cultivation equipment.
