Key aspects for apricot culture in the Mediterranean region
Agricultural Engineer from the Miguel Hernández University (UMH) and master’s degree in fruit research. Jesús López-Alcolea works in the CEBAS-CSIC Fruit Breeding Group as Variety Manager. Its main activity is to act as a link between scientific research and the stone fruit production sector.
He carries out an important activity of transference to the sector of new varieties obtained (almond, apricot and Japanese plums) as well as agronomic techniques that improve the development of agricultural activity. He is the coordinator and person in charge of the CEBAS-CSIC plant material service and responsible for R&D&I projects with fruit crop companies.
